Efficient Synthesis of Bis(3-Methylphenyl)Sulfoxide Aza Macrocycles from a Bis(3-Methylphenyl)Sulfoxide Diester and Diamine Derivatives %K Bis(3-methylphenyl)sulfoxide aza macrocycles %K bis(3-methylphenyl)sulfoxide diester %K aliphathic diamines %K methyl chloroacetate %K Complexation %R 10.22034/jaoc.2022.154822 %X Some bis(3-methylphenyl)sulfoxide aza macrocycles (3–8) were synthesized in high yields based on the conventional methods of the reaction of corresponding bis(3-methylphenyl)sulfoxide diester and diamines in refluxing methanol. Bis(3-methylphenyl)sulfoxide diester was synthesized from the reaction of 2-[(2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)sulfinyl]-4-methylphenol and methyl chloroacetate.
